Just returned from a week at the Cala Bona. Everyone who worked there were so friendly and helpful especially the bar staff and Sebastian. The variety of food was excellent as was the evening entertainment. The street entertainment was also somethng not to be missed. Would love to return - funds permitting. 30/8/10

First time

This was my first time at the Cala Bona Hotel and I was very pleased with the whole experience. My daughter and myself felt that the experience was made better by the friendliness of all of the staff, especially Tomek and Diego. The food was lovely and fresh, they catered for all dietry requirements. The entertainment was good every night and out on the harbour you would sometimes get entertainers and there was sometimes a local artist who made amazing pictiures with different colour spray cans and a bit of imagination. An amazing holiday!

We spent 2 weeks at the Cala Bona hotel from the 16th - 30th July. It was our first holiday as a couple and we had the most amazing time! It is the perfect place for people who enjoy a relaxing holiday. The hotel is in a great location overlooking the harbour and has a number of bars and restaurants closeby. It is right next to a small beach and only a walk away from the bigger beach at Cala Millor, which is a livelier resort with many more bars and restaurants. All the staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and all spoke very good English. The evening entertainment was of a very high standard and people were coming from other hotels to watch it! The food in the restaurant was good and varied and the poolside bar also sold a variety of food that was reasonably priced. The pool area was very nice and clean, but there was a bit of a race to get your sunbeds in the morning! The room we stayed in was just the right size and was kept very clean throughout the 2 weeks. Unfortunately we didn't have air conditioning and would advise people to request it! We spoke to many people who had visited the hotel a number of times and can see why! We shall definitely be coming back here in a few years time. Thank you so much for such a wonderful holday!! 10/8/10

Fishing Festival was lovely

After a long journey finally arrived at hotel. Room overlooking pool area was clean and thank God has air con (be warned, some rooms don't). Staff all very friendly and efficient in all areas. Food OK but not mind blowing - can be a bit bland (could have done with some garlic!). Resort lovely in day time but can be noisy and very lively at night. If you want peace and quiet request pool view room, not sea view. Boat trips are recommended. Nice walk to Cala Millor. Don't trust your airport transfers - they can arrive 2 hours either side of your pick up time! Fishing Festival was lovely. 9/8/10

Missing Cala Bona :(

Missing Hotel Cala Bona already :( I left Hotel Cala Bona just 12 hours ago and I'm already missing it!!! This was my 1st visit to Cala Bona and I cannot fault it - the hotel, location and weather were all amazing....I will be returning. The staff at the Hotel Cala Bona work very hard to make everyone's holiday memorable. Many people return year after year and I can see why. The bar staff are funny, friendly and helpful - particularly Luigi . Thank you everyone for a wonderful holiday - see you soon!!! Our room was a standard room without air-con, it was very spacous and clean but basic would be discriptive so next time I will definatly book 4/8/10

We would like to thank all the staff and managment for making our stay special and for making sure our requests where met. Returned from an excellent weeks stay where the staff could not be faulted. All more than happy to help and with welcoming smiles! especially Miguel the Pool Bar manager Okey Dokey. We dont actually stay at the Cala Bona but we always go on the evening to watch the entertainment. We have been to Cala Bona 4 times now and have booked up to go next year. The bar staff are the nicest people we have ever met. The entertainment is brilliant. A very enjoyable night for all ages. We espcially love Antonio!!!!! He' a keeper! cannot forget the hotel

We arrived home two weeks ago and cannot forget the hotel and resort. It was our first holiday for 5 years and also for me as a disabled person and for both of us managing a wheelchair. The hotel was so pleasant and easy to negotiate. Excepting the pool area which was quite an adventure getting down and I did wonder if I was going over the balcany in the computer room on the first time!! But the hotel and the people in it made up for this. Sebastian in the Restaurant was soooo helpful and is such a lovely person and I will never forget Juliana and her mum, who was really, really lovely and I feel so ashamed I have forgotten her name! They helped so much and were smiling and friendly all the time. The Receptionists and Chris the Manager were lovely and helpful and never failed to say goodmorning or good evening to you. The Bar Staff were always friendlyespecially if you were yound agile, slim and very very pretty, but that is men for you! But memories of evenings sitting outside the hotel, sometimes after a game of bingo having the odd laugh with one fo the waiters andpeople watchng or often there would be entertainment, especially one man who "drove" a "car" parked it by the marina and then entertained us in many ways and had the public in fits of laughter! Those are the memories I think of often of the Cala Bona Hotel. During the day we would go into Cala Millor which, if you are able bodied or disabled is a joy to get too, as it is flat and mostly pedestrianised. My Husband and, for the first week, my sister-in-law and brother-in-law pushed me in the wheelchair and they did not complain, only that the kerbs were not "drop" kerbs as in England, but that is no problem. We could have hired a scooter off of the hotel but we decided against it and it was fine! The Marina was beautiful and lovely to sit and watch the boats going in and out and the small beach up the road beautiful to sit and draw and paint from, or to go and swim in. Cala Millor was lovely if you like it lively and enjoy shopping, which I did twice, but you could get the same goods, more or less, in Cala Bona! The Beach looks lovely, if packed, but the sea is torquise and gorgous. I have nothing but praise and apologise for going on, but my memories of the Cala Bono Hotel are nothing but Good and we aim to go back ASAP. Thank you . 07/07/10

Just returned from another wonderful week

We have just returned from another wonderful week at the Cala Bona Hotel. We had a beautiful sea view room overlooking the harbour. Well worth the bit extra money for the views. It was our wedding anniversary and the staff/management put some flowers, chocolates and a card in our room, which made my day. The food is excellent, entertainment brilliant and the drinks are not expensive by other hotel standards. Will definately book again. 22/6/10

great location

22-5-2010-The hotel is in a great location,very clean,excellent food and service with plenty of sunbeds(must put towels on early tho).personal table in dining room-great idea,dress code too tho relaxed at dinner tho! The only down side to the hotel is the volume of the entertainment-can be heard throughout block and up to 200meters around the harbour-we bought ear plugs and usually got to sleep by 01.00.Would we recommend?Yes but book an upgrade from the start.

What a wonderful holiday. Staff at Cala Bona were amongst the best we have ever had. Special thanks to Susan on reception who helped us with our request to move room and to Lyndsey who made sure our table was well looked after. Room 160 in Pergola Block is excellent for those wishing to pay for sea view and air conditioning. View of the harbour will remain in our memories for a long time to come. How well the guest are treated

I would like the staff to know how well the guest are treated and how we appreciate there hard work. I would prefer the dress code to be adhered to on an evening. Sitting with other guests who are in vests' and shorts or beach wear is unacceptable. Please ensure all guest adhere to the dress code and don't allow your standards to drop. Keep up the good work. Lovely Honeymoon.

We stayed at the cala bona on our honeymoon. Had a lovely time, we were upgraded to a suite at no extra cost and had flowers and chocolates waiting in our room. Returned yesterday

Returned yesterday from what must be my 10th visit to this hotel.Once again, everything perfect and my only regret is that I had to come home. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone wanting goood value for money, great atmosphere, and very friendly staff. and a peaceful resort. I would just like to thank the staff in the Cala Bona Hotel for making my 50th birthday special.The staff were very friendly and I could not fault the Hotel and there standards at all. I did have reservations after reading some reviews prior to my travel,but if you can find fault with this hotel my advise would be to "stay at home" I would like to add the weather was a lot better than i thought it would be and I would not hesitate to travel this time of the year again!! Looking Forward To Our Next Stay...

We would like to say how much we enjoyed our stay with the Cala Bona Hotel. The hotel was every bit as nice as we remembered from our previous stay and better. It really is a lovely place, the hotel maintaining a certain old world charm but catering to 21st century requirements with ease. The service we received from all of you during our stay was faultless, courteous and everyone is so friendly. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, the food was good and indeed for Ashley one of the highlights of his day was entering the dining room in the evening to see what delights the chefs had created for us that day. We would particularly like to thank Christine, Susan, Patricia, Victoria, also Lindsey in the dining room, although there are no exceptions and those who are not mentioned by name (bar staff, cleaners etc), you all do a wonderful job and thank you all for making our holiday so special. my wife and me stayed at the calc bona hotel 23/08/08 to 6/09/08.the hotel has a super position, right on the harbour edge.the hotel is clean, all staff are very friendly,the entertainment is mixed and seems to rotate week on week.the food is buffet style and of very good quality.anyone with a special diet will be catered for.the menu is displayed each day outside the restaurant.if there is nothing on the menu that you can have, or your chidren dont like, you can, before 11am, order a different meal at the reception desk. (vegetarians/ coeliac) the hotel is in the process of giving all rooms air conditioning. ensure to ask when booking if you want air conditioning.there is a bus stop right outside the hotel and local buses are quite frequent to most destinations.you can easily walk into cala millor,and further on into sa coma.regular boat trips take you down the coast line.the walk to cala millor has has shops, reastaurants,bars along the walk, too numerous to mention.the atmosphere here is of quietness and calmness.calc bona and cala bona hotel is definitely on our list to return to maybe as early as next year. 16/09/08

Well what can I say, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the hotel, the food was excellent and the view from our room really lovely. My main reason for writing it to congratulate the hotel on one person in particular who is Susan on the Reception Desk. We had a couple of problems during our stay (neither the fault of the hotel) and she was outstanding in her customer care. She gave us advice as to how to proceed with a Police report when our bag was stolen on a trip and also sorted out a taxi for us to go the airport for our flight home when the transfer one booked with the holiday company did not arrive. She got us out of a real mess as we did not have enough money to pay the fare, so she took it upon herself to foot the bill via the hotel. We can't thank her enough. 8/9/08 We will definitely go back to this Hotel, hopefully next year.

It has become a tradition

Having had at least 20 holidays at the Cala Bona we will return in late Sept 08 after spending 2 weeks in May/ June earlier this year. It has become a tradition that we spend at least 2 holidays at the Cala Bona in addition to visiting countries further afield as we find the staff, location and atmosphere excellent.We have alredy booked for next year so it is easy to appreciate how much we love returning to our second home. What a splendid website. I can get a fix of Cala Bona Hotel while working! We first discovered our 'second home' The Cala Bona Hotel 12 years ago and have since then been back every year (sometimes2/3 times in one year) with family and friends old and new. The Hotel is in perfect setting, has a fantastic atmosphere and a warm and friendly welcome awaits you from Sebastian, the family and staff. Sebastian has always found a room for us on our last minute family surprises. Last year we were living in Cyprus but still managed to get to Cala Bona to surprise my sister, albeit flying from Paphos via UK to Palma!.....that is how much we love staying there and how special it is. We have had such happy and fun times and look forward to many more to come. Our grateful thanks to you all. See you in 2009. 13/08/08

Back Again

Just returned from another wonderful holiday July 15th. Have been with you for the last 7-8 years and already booked to return in 2009. Your hotel is so friendly, comfortable and relaxing I can't recommend it enough if someone wants to be chilled, but if you want the buzz and nightlife it is a 15 min walk away in Cala Millor. DEAR SEBASTIAN AND FAMILY: CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR NEW WEB SITE. MY MOTHER JOYCE CRICK AND HER HUSBAND DESMOND FIRST CAME TO YOUR LOVELY HOTEL IN 1974 (I THINK). MANY YEARS SHE HAS BEEN MORE THAN ONCE.SINCE THE DEATH OF DESMOND, I HAVE BOUGHT HER MOST YEARS AGAIN MORE THAN ONCE. UNFORTUNATELY LAST YEAR AND THIS YEAR I AM UNABLE TO BRING HER DUE TO PRESSURES AT WORK. MY MOTHER´S MEMORIES ARE TOO MANY LIST,BUT SHE MENTIONS CALA BONA MOST DAYS, AND HER FOND MEMORIES OF DANCING UNTIL THE EARLY HOURS, TALKING WITH YOUR MOTHER MATILDE, EITHER THOUGH NEITHER OF THEM COULD UNDERSTAND EACH OTHER, AND THE FRIENDSHIP AND WARMTH SHOWN BY YOU, YOUR FAMILY AND STAFF, ALL OF WHOM ARE A CREDIT TO YOU. I DO HOPE THAT NEXT YEAR, WE CAN MANAGE TO RETURN. MOTHER IS NOW 84-SHE ALWAYS REMINDS ME THAT SHE IS THE SAME AGE AS THE CALA BONA HOTEL. TAKE CARE AND KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. WARM REGARDS. JANE.
